"Various styles
such as Impressionism and Surrealism are among some of my favorite
painting expressions."
Richard Lewis took
an interest in art at a very early age. When given his first coloring
book, he took the black crayon and added more shapes to color.
From then on, Christmas and birthday gifts were usually art supplies.
With bright colors, Richard attempts to convey
a tropical atmosphere with music in the air. His style is what
he calls "Caribbean Primitive Pop," sort of a dash
of Van Gogh and Matisse added to a bit of Lichtenstein and Haring
stirred up with a spicy taste of his French Quarter home.
