Alexander
Gore
Born in St. Petersburg
Russia, Alexander
Gore
moved to America in 1980 and now resides in Miami, Florida.
The
artist has
studied Italian and German art in Europe and has traveled throughout
Central America absorbing indigenous folk art and technique. Partly
inspired by "LUBOK" Russian folk tradition, Gore's work also reflects
the strong vibrant colors of Central America and the soulful rhythms
of the Caribbean.
Alexander Gore's work is characterized
by dominant black lines, curvy shapes, and sophisticated use of
color. According
to the artist,
the straight line does not occur in nature. To him, only a curved
form accurately portrays energy. Alexander says, "I believe that people's
lives can be changed for the better both on the interior and exterior
with the curve. I try to convey the movement of color across the
canvas by using a strong line that hints at the shapes to come."
Alexander Gore's work has been
shown in museums and galleries across the Eastern United States
with exhibitions in New York, Washington DC, Miami, Ft. Lauderdale,
and his native Russia. His American output has been prodigious with original
works numbering in the thousands. RaZoo GaLLery of
Ft. Lauderdale is proud to offer Alexander Gore's work to South Florida Collectors.
