Pat Campau
Pat Long Campau loves found objects as vehicles to provoke thought. Gathered from various places, she recycles found material into works, changing and molding them into a commentary on everyday events, human excess and political absurdities. "I like the process of creating open-ended tales whose meaning is ultimately up to the viewer," says Campau. "After all, I have no answers, only questions."

A lifelong artist, Pat studied art at Chico State University and the California School of Arts and Crafts, San Francisco. Her work is included in the permanent collection of the Ft. Lauderdale Museum of Art, the Director's office of the Port Everglades Authority, and the H. Wayne Hiuzenga family collection. The artist works in wood, ceramics, and a variety of mediums. Best known for her intricate ceramic sculptures, the artist's venture into creating mixed-media wooden boxes, icons, and alters recall another era, but are thoroughly contemporary in theme.
