Eighth Annual Youth Art Show
Pembroke
Pines Art Guild is sponsoring this event free of charge to students
grades K-12. Artworks will be judged in 4 age groups: K-2, 3-5,
6-8, and 9-12. Delivery date is Friday, April 4th, from 2:30
- 4:30pm and Saturday Morning, April 5th from 10:00am - Noon.Award
Ceremony Wednesday April 9th from 6:00-9:00pm. Prizes: First
- $40, Second - $30, Third - $20, Honorable mentions - $10.

OPPORTUNITIES
Knight Arts Partnership
The
John S. and James L. Knight Foundation present the "Knight
Arts Partnership", committing $40 Million to support arts
in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties.
The first part of the Knight Arts Partnership is $20 million
in three major leadership gifts to the New World Symphony, the
Miami Art Museum and the Museum of Contemporary Art.
The
additional $20 million come in the form of a challenge to the
community in grants over the next five years to individuals or
organizations whose ideas will help transform our community through
the arts. Each dollar Knight Foundation commits to this community
challenge will have to be matched by another funding source,
adding up to a total of $40 million.
The partnership program has 3 simple rules:
1.
The idea is about arts
2.
The project takes place in South Florida
3.
You find other funding to match their grant
Idea
deadline is April 15th. This involves simply a title of your
project, and a 150 word description. Enter as many ideas as you
like.
